About ANVwellness
ANVwellness steps in to offer a lifeline to youth ages 13 to 24 who have a background in foster care. The daunting prospect of leaving foster care at 18 is met with overwhelming statistics, showing that 35% of these individuals face homelessness, unplanned pregnancy, and even incarceration without proper support.
Through the program, participants are matched with a mentor for friendship, receive mental health support, attend life skills workshops, advocates and are provided with essential items like clothing, school supplies ,bus passes and cell phones. In the near future, ANVwellness will also offer transitional housing to ensure a smoother transition into independent living. ANVwellness serves as a vital link for young adults transitioning out of the foster care system and into adulthood.

Meet Dr.Adrienne Velazquez
Dr.Adrienne Velazquez is a devoted wife, mother to four wonderful children and two grandchildren, and the visionary founder of ANVwellness Nonprofit. Witnessing the struggles faced by those aging out of foster care, Adrienne took action to provide essential resources and mentorship.
ANVwellness, founded by Dr.Adrienne, is a remarkable organization dedicated to supporting teenagers in foster care. Through fostering relationships, nurturing dreams, and guiding them to realize their full potential, this nonprofit was born out of Adrienne's deep love and commitment for her children she adopted through foster care. Recognizing the challenges faced by those aging out of the system, with over 35% ending up homeless, Adrienne knew she had to take action. Collaborating with local foster care agencies, she fundraised money throughout Texas and provided essential resources like duffle bags to support these vulnerable youth. Additionally, Adrienne works with hairstylists to combat sex trafficking and support battered women shelters.
Dr.Adrienne Velazquez and her husband were honored as Foster Parents of the Year for their dedication to nurturing adolescents and reshaping their future. Understanding the importance of providing a supportive environment for young individuals in foster care to help them realize their potential, Adrienne's commitment shines through in her work with ANVwellness Nonprofit. She has used her platform to create awareness and raise money, showcasing her passion for supporting teenagers in foster care and guiding them towards a successful transition out of the system.
